Trauma, Healing and Moving On

Stress connected to family of origin, identity, otherness, and life transitions are often overlooked.  The impact of trauma shows up in your everyday lives, making it impossible to be your authentic selves, and manifesting as symptoms of anxiety, depression and failure to thrive. With my clinical knowledge, I aim to bring these issues into the room. Here, you can expect to challenge oppressive narratives that saturate your personal story and find the power to re-write your stories, and start living the life you have always envisioned!

Clients I Work With

I partner with adults to address challenges related to intersectional identity and otherness (e.g., racial/cultural, gender, immigration, and disability identity), life transitions (e.g., starting/graduating college, pregnancy/parenting and change in relationship status) and intergenerational and family-of-origin trauma. I especially welcome the opportunity to work with Black, Brown, and other individuals of color, adult children of immigrants, and individuals living with complex medical needs.

How Therapy with Me Can Help

I believe that transparency is essential to building a trusted therapeutic relationship. My clinical style is interactive, curious, and collaborative. I join with individuals utilizing culturally informed, person-centered assessments and inclusive treatment interventions informed by narrative, multicultural, queer feminist, relational, and social justice lenses to understand how systemic racism, intergenerational, and childhood traumas have informed coping skills and relationship dynamics.

On a more personal note...

I’m an island gal, I love the beach, live music, and clean eating. Advocacy and justice are very important to me and this is reflected in every aspect of my life. I’m a new parent and learning to rest.... Ready to work with me?
