Anxiety, Sexuality, Gender, Intimacy

When it comes to our minds and bodies, it is all connected. Trauma, anxiety, and depression can cause our minds and bodies distress. Stubborn, unhelpful thoughts often pop up while we are trying to manage daily tasks. Those thoughts cause us to miss the opportunities around us that can bring contentment, trust, and love. Together, we can face and identify the stubborn thoughts stopping you from living your authentic life. You can learn to trust and love yourself and others, creating strong relationships with those you care about, including intimacy.

**At this time, Catriona is considered in network with Ambetter, Aetna, MedCost and BCBS. They are considered out-of-network with ALL other insurance companies. Check back for updates on their ability to accept insurance(s) as they get paneled.

Clients I Work With

I enjoy working with all people, but I thrive working with people over the age of thirteen. My experience includes working with people from diverse backgrounds, including people part of the disability community, people seeking their gender, people coming out with their sexuality, those who are newly immigrated, and first responders. Many clients I work with struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, panic, and intimacy.

How Therapy with Me Can Help

Clinically, I use an eclectic approach, using various evidence-based practices, including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Breathwork. Most importantly, let's find out what works for you. What I love about being a practicing therapist is the relationships we build. Building trust and rapport must come first; the relationship will naturally become significant and beneficial once we have the foundation.

On a more personal note...

I have been in the Triangle area for over ten years. I came for the weather and stayed for the biscuits. Decades ago, I immigrated to the United States with my immediate family. The experience created a solid and loving bond between my parents and all four of my siblings. When on break, you can find me on the family chat. I enjoy trivia, sports, highland cows, camping, flowers, farmers' markets, and my plants. I do happen to be non-binary.
